Crowe, 61, of 11 West Main Street, Frostburg, Md., owner and operator of Hilton Florist, died August 21 at Frostburg Community Hospital, following a brief illness. She had been admitted to the hospital August 17. Born in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Stella F. Hanlon Broadwater, and was the widow of Samuel W. Crowe, who died in 1969. She was a member of Frostburg American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, Ladies Auxiliary to Fraternal Order of Eagles and Woodmen of the World. Surviving are two sons, Milton L. Crowe, Bowman's Addition, Cumberland, Md.; Owen L. Crowe, LaVale, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Roy D. Broadwater, Mrs. Harold B. Morris, Avilton, Md.; Mrs. Forrest Broadwater, Salisbury, a brother, Lee Broadwater, Jennings, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. James Alvero and Miss Myrtle Broadwater, Keyser, W. Va.; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Hafer Frost Mansion Funeral Home where a service was conducted with Rev. Sadie E. Tripplett officiating. Interment, Trinity Methodist Cemetery, New Germany. Pallbearers were Monty Broadwater, Rick Broadwater, Mark Morris, Eugene Miller, Tim Galico and Jack Beitzel. The Republic, August 25, 1977 [C1259]
