"Bonnie" Croyle, 63, of Staunton, Va., formerly of Kantner, died Jan. 13, 1989 at King's Daughters' Hospital, Staunton. Born Oct. 3, 1925 in Quemahoning Township, son of Jontz and Mary Susan (Barnhart) Croyle. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Harry, Clarence, and Bert; sisters, Josephine Miller, Ada Seese and LaVerne Kovack. Survived by wife, the former Elton June Watson, and these children: Mrs. Harry (Susan) Shiflett, Mrs. Ross (Holly) Brooks, Mrs. Taylor (Bonnie) Williams and Nathaniel, all of Staunton; three grandchildren. Brother of Vernon of Kantner, Mae Dunmyer of Friedens RD 1; Ruby Fetzer of Cleveland, Ohio; and Elva Miller of Somerset RD 6. Retired self-employed contractor and paper hanger. Veteran of World War II, Third Marine Division, member of Second Presbyterian Church, Staunton. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, STOYSTOWN, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Revs. Ed and Brenda Fritz.
