Croyle, 67, of Acosta, died Aug. 20 in Atlantic City, N.J. He was born May 5, 1906 in Somerset County and was the son of Jontz Croyle of Kantner and the late Mary (Barnhart) Croyle. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his widow, the former Marion Gindlesperger and the following children, Mrs. Glenn (Dorothy) Singo of Acosta, Mrs. Roy (Mary) Custer of Kantner, Clair "Bud" of Irwin, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Vernon and Mrs. Laverne Bauman, both of Kantner, Mrs. Norman (Ada) Seese of Somerset, Mrs. Homer (Mae) Dunmyer of Friedens RD 1, Mrs. Joseph (Ruby) Fetzer of Cleveland, Ohio, Bonard of Staunton, Va., Mrs. Harold (Elva) Miller, Somerset RD 6. He was a retired coalminer. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Donald Berkey officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
