  CROYLE
  
  John L. Croyle, 85, 316 Allegheny St., Boswell, died Jan. 3, 1995, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born May 1, 1909, son of A.J. and Elsie (Gilbert)
  Croyle.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Dean and Willard. 
  Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Heiple; children: Gloria, married to
  Dr. Warren Stielman, Fort Worth, Texas; William J., married to Therese
  Petrosky, Somerset; Dennis D., married to Donna Monteith, Stoystown RD 1;
  grandchildren: Scott Spielman, Raina Newsome, Bill, Marie and D.J. Croyle,
  and Stacy Hoffman.  Brother of Blanche Yoder, Hollsopple RD; Mabel
  Kaltenbaugh, Westmont; Mary Edna Stevenson, Boswell RD 1; Ernest, married
  to Betty Brown, Johnstown; Dorothy Glessner, Boswell RD 1; also
  sister-in-law, Twila Croyle, Hollsopple RD.  Observed 58th wedding
  anniversary on July 9, 1994.  Life-long member of Maple Spring Church of
  the Brethren.  Also member of Boswell Volunteer Fire Department, U.M.W.A.
  and Jenner Rod and Gun Club.  Retired miner and construction worker. 
  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral
  Homes, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday,
  with Pastors Beverly Good, Joseph Beer and Michael Dunlap officiating. 
  Interment, Beam Cemetery.  Memorials to Maple Spring Church of the Brethren
  Library Fund, Hollsopple RD 1, Pa. 15935, would be appreciated.
