Born May 11, 1895, in Shade Township, son of Harry Luther and Arminta (Lohr) Croyle. Preceded in death by parents; and sister, Melda Zimmerman. Retired postal employee. He was an Army veteran of World War I; and a Marine veteran of World War II. A charter member of Robert P. Hite Post 257 American Legion Stoystown. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Jeffrey A. Welsh officiating.
