  ALVIN CUSTER
  
    Alvin R. Custer, 83, Fairhope RD 3, died May 7, 1978 at home.  He was
  born March 6, 1895 in Fairhope Township, a son of the late Usyless and
  Annie (Miller) Custer.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Jennie Bittner, a stepmother, Mrs.
  Effie Custer, Fairhope RD; two sisters Mrs. James (Mary) Emerick, Fairhope
  RD; Mrs. Sara Thomas, and a brother Ray Custer, both of Kennell Mills.
    He was a former member of the Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church.  He was also a
  veteran of WW I.
    Friends were received in the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where
  services were held Wednesday with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. 
  Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery.
