Born Jan 25, 1920 in Stonycreek Township, daughter of Guy Lester Sr. and Mabel Blanche (Musser) Engle. Preceded in death by parents; son, Dennis Lee; and brothers, Lewis, William and Guy Lester Engle Jr. Survived by her husband of 58 years, P. Richard Custer Sr.; sons, P. Richard Jr., married to the former Shirley Eisenhower, Lock Haven; Rodger; Barry William; and Douglas Luke, married to the former Virginia Civiello, all of Stoystown; 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sister of Jean, wife of Glenn Long, Somerset, and Ruth Ann wife of Terry Holland, Berlin. Graduate of Stonycreek Twp. High School Class of 1937 and Cambria Rowe Business School. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Roxbury, where she served as pianist and organist. Member of Shanksville Silver and Gold Senior Citizens. Former member of the 4th Society of Farm Women and former volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Larry Hoover and Rev. Ralph Landis. Interment Walker Cemetery, Shanksville. Instead of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, or Roxbury U.C.C.
