  Ellen June (Duppstadt) Custer, 72, of Cairnbrook died Feb. 8, 1999, at
  Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born Jan. 17, 1927, in Stonycreek Township,
  daughter of Elwood J. and Freda Mae (King) Duppstadt.  Preceded in death by
  parents; brothers: Donald, Jay, Orie, and Thomas; sister, Lois, and
  grandson, Shawn Slough.  Survived by her husband of 49 years, Kermit "Ted"
  Custer, and these children: Robert W. Duppstadt, married to former Jackie
  Watkins, Rockingham, N.C.; Nancy, wife of Ernest Blough, Hooversville, and
  Betty Lou Custer, Indian Lake.  Grandchildren: Tammy Parrish, Kevin
  Duppstadt, Johnny, Timothy, and Holly Pruss, and great-granddaughter;
  Destiny Pruss.  Sister of Dorothy, wife of Clarence Troy, Friedens; Minnie
  Davis, and Edna, wife of Clyde Stutzman, both of Pittsburgh; Claude,
  married to former Gwen Walker, Hubert, N.C.; Kenneth, Carlisle; Shirley,
  wife of James Otto, Schellsburg; Elwood, married to former Sidney Carmany,
  and Jerry, married to former, Karen Carmany, both of Central City; Merle,
  Janet, and Emma Jean, wife of William Burket, all of Stoystown.  Also
  sister-in-law: Ruth Duppstadt, Schellsburg.  Retired from J.D. Operating,
  Sewing Factory, Cairnbrook.  Member of Graef's Lutheran, Church,
  Cairnbrook, and Hooversville VFW Auxiliary.  Family will receive friends
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown,
  where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Rev. James A. McCormick,
  Jr. officiating.  Interment, Berkey Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be
  given to Graef's Lutheran Church, Cairnbrook, PA 15924.
