  CUSTER
  
  Gerald D. Custer, 56, Cairnbrook died Aug. 9, 2000 at home.  Born April 7,
  1944 in Windber, the son of Richard and Hazel (Boyer) Custer.  Preceded in
  death by father.  Survived by mother of Central City, wife the former
  Sheron Watts and these children: Michael married to the former Kimberly
  Chappie, Cairnbrook, and Carol, wife of Mark Abbott, Pittsburgh.  Also
  survived by grandchildren, Alexandra "Peanut," Michael and Barbara, and
  step-grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley and Alexis.  Brother of James and wife
  Dorothy, Eugene and wife Donna, all of Cairnbrook; Dolly, wife of Calvin
  Becker, and Audrey, wife of Marlin Edward, all of Central City, and David
  and wife Denise of Somerset.  Gerald had 30 years service in the
  maintenance department of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. 
  Friends will be received 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mulcahy
  Funeral Home.  Body will lie in state at the Central City Assembly of God
  from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Samuel
  Childers and Rev. Randal E. Daley officiating.  Interment, Dale Cemetery,
  Cairnbrook.
