  CUSTER
  
  Kenneth Raymond Custer, 87, of Shanksville, died May 18, 1995, at home. 
  Born Feb. 13, 1908, in Stonycreek Township.  Son of Frank J. and Carrie
  Elta (Shank) Custer.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Charles David, and
  infant daughter; also sister, Betty Walker Cotter.  Survived by his wife of
  65 years, the former Arvilla G. "Billie" Naugle, and these children:
  Maryanne, married to Kenneth Lowry, Indian Lake; Shirley Stull, Somerset,
  and Donald R. "Red," Central City; seven grandchildren and 11
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Gladys Wilt, John, Richard and Robert
  Custer, all of Stoystown RD 3.  Retired after 42 years with Bethlehem Steel
  Corp., Johnstown.  Member of Shanksville United Methodist Church,
  Shanksville Silver and Gold Senior Citizens and Shanksville, Roxbury and
  Cross Forks Sportsmen Clubs.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held
  at 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Doug Bums officiating.  Interment, Walker
  Cemetery, Shanksville.  Memorial contributions may be given to Shanksville
  UM Church, Shanksville, 15560.
