  CUSTER
  
  Luther H. Custer, 71, of Somerset RD 1, died Jan. 4, 1976 in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  He was born Nov. 1, 1904 in Somerset Township, a son
  of the late Charles and Ella (Bowser) Custer.  Preceded in death by his
  wife, Margaret in 1962, a daughter and two brothers.  Survived by six
  children: Edward and Fred S., Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Ted (Arlene) Hartle of
  Slippery Rock, Pa.; Dean R. of Oceanside, Calif.; Wayne J., Aurora, Ohio;
  Mrs. Richard (Diane) Stevanus, Rockwood RD 3 and 22 grandchildren and 13
  great-grandchildren, four sisters: Mrs. Hazel Sevens of California; Mrs.
  Evelyn Farling of Somerset; Mrs. Ethel Baldwin, Three Rivers, Mich.; Mrs.
  Violet Wright, Stoystown.  Friends will be received after 2 p.m. today,
  Monday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service will be
  conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m.  Rev. Paul R. Weber officiating.  Interment New
  Centerville Cemetery.
