  Paul R. "Dick" Custer Sr., 88, Buckstown Road, Stoystown, died Jan. 26, 2006,
  at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born Dec. 15, 1917, in Stonycreek Township,
  son of Frank and Carrie (Shank) Custer. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the
  former Dorothy Engle; son, Dennis; brothers, Kenneth and John; and sister Betty
  Walker-Cotter. Survived by sons, Paul R. "Dick" Jr. and wife, Shirley, Lock
  Haven; Rodger, and Douglas and wife, Virginia, all of Stoystown; and Barry and
  wife Robbie, Acosta; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three
  great-great-grandchildren. Brother of Gladys Wilt, and Robert Custer and wife,
  Eleanor, all of Stoystown. Also survived by sisters-in-law Jean Long and Ruth
  Ann Holland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of
  Shanksville-Stonycreek High School, and retired from the Pa. Turnpike. Member
  of Shanksville Assembly of God, Shanksville Silver and Gold Senior Citizens,
  and Roxbury Sportsmen's Club. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to
  9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where a service will be held
  at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Sylvia Baker and the Rev. Ralph Landis officiating.
  Interment Walker Cemetery, Shanksville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be
  given to the American Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St., Somerset, PA 15501.
