  PAUL Y. CUSTER 
  
    Paul Y. Custer, 79, of 321 East Main Street, died March 10, 1983 at the
  Frostburg Nursing Home where he had been admitted Monday, March 7. 
    He was born in Grantsville, Maryland and was a son of the late John
  Custer and Mary (Yutzy) Custer.
    He was retired from government employment in Washington, D.C.  He was a
  member of Grantsville American Legion Post 214 and attended First English
  Baptist Church.
    Surviving are his widow Mrs. Mern (Stewart) Custer; one stepdaughter Mrs.
  Sally Blank, Frostburg, Maryland; three sisters, Mrs. Anne Wengerd,
  Grantsville, Maryland; Mrs. Billie Taylor, Grantsville; Mrs. Lena Kellam,
  Falls Church, Va.; two brothers, Woodrow Custer, Grantsville; John Custer,
  Ely, Nev.; eight step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and a
  number of nieces and nephews.
    Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home where services were
  conducted with the Rev. Richard Harris officiating.  Interment was in the
  Casselman Mennonite Cemetery at Grantsville.
