  CUSTER
  
  Ray A. Custer, 67, of Hyndman RD 1, died Tuesday, June, 28, 1988, in
  Cumberland, Md.  He was born in Somerset County on March 21, 1921, a son of
  the late Ulysses and Effie (Shroyer) Custer.  Surviving are his wife, Alma
  R. (Merkel) Custer; three sons: Grant G. and Robert D., both of Hyndman RD
  1; and Harmon L. of Berlin; four daughters: Mrs. Margaret L. Kesner and Ms.
  Patty Ann Custer, both of LaVale, Md.; Mrs. Donna R. Landis, Hyndman RD 1;
  and Mrs. Barbara J. Morgart, Ramstein, Germany; 16 grandchildren and two
  sisters: Mrs. Mary E. Emerick and Mrs. Sarah L. Thomas, both of Hyndman RD
  1.  Services will be conducted at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Hyndman, on Saturday at 2 p.m.  Interment, Comps Cemetery.  Visitation at
  the funeral home Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
