  Ruth Virginia Custer, 65, Friedens RD 1, died June 22, 1996, at home.  Born
  Mary 30, 1931, in Listie.  Daughter of Clarence and Olive (Witt) Maust. 
  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Quinten, Gladen "Cockey" and Ralph
  Maust, and sister, Bernice "Bets" Shultz.  Survived by husband of 45 years,
  Melvin Custer, and son, Jeff, Sister of Clarence Woodrow Maust, Oak Hill,
  Fla.; Mary Ida Griffith, Friedens, and Helen Courtney, Meyersdale.  Member
  of Somerset Faith in Jesus Church.  Lifetime beautician, working out of her
  home.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 10 a.m.
  Tuesday, Rev. Freeman L. Raley.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
