  CUSTER
  
  Thelma Ruth Miller Custer, 87 of Lambertsville Road, Stoystown, died Jan.
  30, 2001 at home.  Born July 5, 1913 in Stonycreek Township.  Daughter of
  Webster B. and Amanda C. (Miller) Miller.  Preceded in death by parents,
  husband John Shank Custer whom she married March 4, 1937 and who died 1999,
  and a sister Beulah Glotfelty.  Survived by a son Dr. Karl D. Custer married
  to the former Judy Miller, Winchester, Va.  Grandchildren: Clay Custer and
  wife Becky, Winston-Salem, N.C.; Marsha married to Peter Landry,
  Chesapeake, Va., and Jonathan Custer, Spartanburg, S.C.  Also five
  great-grandchildren and brothers: Arthur Miller, Phoenix, Ariz., and
  Chester Miller of Schellsburg.  Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle,
  Boswell.  She was a homemaker and beloved mother, grandmother and friend. 
  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Chauncey J.
  Ickes officiating.  Interment, Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.
