Born Oct. 12, 1907, at Grantsville, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Bittinger) Swauger. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.D. Reynolds, a brother, Ivan Swauger and 2 sisters, Irma Miller and Evelyn Bittinger. Mrs. Custer was the owner of M.D. Reynolds Typewriter Service in Johnstown. She is survived by a son, Lt. Col. (Ret.) James D. Reynolds and wife, the former Lois Costlow, of Hampton, Va., a daughter, Lois Reynolds Katan, Highland, Ind., 3 grandchildren, Susan L. Wiersma, Highland, Carolyn E. Reynolds, Hampton, James D. Reynolds, II., Norfolk, Va., 2 sisters, Helen Hendershot, Hancock, Md., and Grace Glotfelty, Salisbury and 3 great grandchildren. Friends received 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
