(Koot) 04/27/06 Daily American Rose H. (Koot) Czajkowski, 90, Windber, went to be with the Lord April 25, 2006, at the Regional Hospice of Windber. Born May 25, 1916, in Arrow, daughter of Frank and Mary (Gorczyk) Koot. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank W. Czajkowski; brothers, Stanley Koot and wife, Ann (Smarek); William Koot and first wife, Ann (Czajkowski), and second wife, Ann (Slavick); and John S. Koot and wife Ann (Jeba); sisters, Sophia and first husband, Steve J. Fluder, and second husband Joseph F. Yarzumbeck; and Thressa and husband, Charles Ledney. Survived by children, Joan, wife of Leslie Rice, St. Charles, Mo.; Richard E. Czajkowski, married to the former Jeanne Skillman, Las Vegas; and David Czajkowski married to the former Cathy Shelko, Windber; 10 grand-children; 13 great-grandchildren; and two future great-grandchildren. Sister of Joseph Koot, married to the former Martha Fluder, Windber; Julia, wife of the late Edward Zack-Conn; Ann, wife of the late William Dowgiallo, Florida; and Martha, wife of the late Ernest Neal, Windber; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired employee of the former Citizen's Bank. Rose was a member of various card clubs, Catholic Senior Center, Polish Alliance and the Windber Center of Life. Also member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where Rose was a member of the Rosary Society and the kitchen crew. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber where rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m. Friday and where vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek officiating. Entombment Richland Mausoleum.
