Daniel, 81, of Hill Top Manor, Donegal, formerly of Somerset and Champion, died Jan. 18, 1998, at Somerset Hospital, Somerset. Born June 12, 1916, at Champion, a daughter of the late Alexander and Ruth M. (Bowman) Geary. She was a 1935 graduate of Connellsville High School. Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Somerset and the County Line Church of The Brethern at Champion and its Ladies Aid Society. She had been employed as a cook at Summit Diner, Somerset, for over 25 years. Survived by 2 brothers: Dale Geary and wife Margaret of Acme RD 1, and Dean Geary and wife Mary of Mount Pleasant RD5; sister-in-law Mary Geary of Masontown and Clara Geary of Champion and Martha Geary of Jones Mills; a brother-in-law, Samuel Zelenske of Jones Mills. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by her husband Roy (Ky) Daniel July 28, 1968; brothers Reed Geary, Glenn Geary and Paul I. Geary; a sister, Jean Zelenske. Friends will be received from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home on Rt. 711 at Melcroft, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastors Barry Conn and Kermit Jones officiating.
