(Shaulis) Daniels, 83, of Jacobus died Aug. 10, 2002, at her residence after a brief illness. Born in Friedens, Somerset County, Oct. 3, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Norman L. and Carrie G. (Dunmeyer) Shaulis. Preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred G. Kroh. Survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Russell of Glen Rock; two sons, Norman W. Daniels of New Cumberland and Glenn E. Daniels of Jacobus; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie K. Putman of Somerset, and a brother, Homer H. Shaulis of Jerome. Mrs. Daniels was a homemaker and retired in 1983 from Friendship Elementary School in Southern York County School District, where she was a cook for 24 years. Previous had worked for the former Wagner's Dry Cleaners, Glen Rock, and Formprest Dry Cleaners, formerly of Glen Rock. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Glen Rock, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and was very active in preparing meals for all occasions at the church. A member of St. Paul's Evangelical Congregation church and a member of South Central York County Senior Center, New Freedom. Viewing is 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 1 New St., Glen Rock. Service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Jackie Starz, officiating and Rev. Karl Fetterman assisting. Burial in Glen Rock Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 1 New St., Glen Rock 17327; or to Jacobus Ambulance Club, 18 S.
