  BESS I. DANNECKER
  
    Bess I. Dannecker, 87, of Bedford, died July 25, 1983, in Pennknoll Village 
  Nursing Home, Bedford.
    She was born March 22, 1896, in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Leopold and 
  Emma (Whitford) Dannecker.
    She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Cartwright of Perryopolis; and the 
  following nieces and nephews:  the Rev. John W. Pfahler, Staten Island, N.Y.; 
  George D. Pfahler of Everett; Mrs. Emma Estelle McIntosh, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. 
  Carolyn Haman, of New Carlisle, Ohio.
    She was a member of the La Vale Methodist Church.
    Friends were received at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services were 
  held with the Rev. John W. Pfahler officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
