  Paul Gillis "Gil" Dannels, 76, of Rockwood RD 3 died May 5, 1993, at home.  Born 
  May 14, 1916 in East Pike Run Township.  Son of the late Mary (Gillis) and Ewing 
  N. Dannels.  Preceded in death by parents and brother James.  Survived by wife 
  of 55 years, the former Nellie Croft, and these children:  Paul Dannels, Jr., 
  Clifton, Va.; Mrs. David (Paula) Hsu, Latrobe, Pa.; John C., Effort, Pa., Delmar 
  D., Quitman, Ga.; Mrs. Mead (Mary) D. Meyers, Rockwood RD 3; and Christopher J., 
  Lakewood, Ohio.  20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.  Retired manager of 32 
  years of the Monongahela City Water Company, Middlecreek Township permit 
  officer.  A 30-year member of the Water Works Operators Association in 
  Pennsylvania.  Lifetime member of the Monongahela City Fire Department and past 
  president of the Monongahela Rotary Club.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where service 
  will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m.  The Rev. James Monticue and Rev. David Hsu 
  officiating.  Interment, Taylor Cemetery, Brownsville, Pa.  Memorial 
  contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
