  Ellen E. Darr, 88, of Meyersdale RD 4 died May 6 in Somerset Community Hospital.  
  She was born in Jefferson Township March 30, 1885, a daughter of Solomon and 
  Rachael Thiele Howard.  She was preceded in death by three sons, Edward and 
  Harold Darr and Earl Bisel.  She is survived by her husband Frank C. Darr Sr.; 
  children, Mrs. Hilda Glessner of Somerset RD 5; Howard D., of Kaysville, Utah; 
  Clark E. of Meyersdale RD 4; and Frank C. Jr. of Boswell RD 2; 17 grandchildren; 
  and 22 great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the Mt. Laurel United Church of 
  Christ.  Her death ended a marriage union of 64 years.
  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home where services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. 
  Richard H. Shellenberger and the Rev. Jeffrey Kistler.  Interment in Edie
  Church Cemetery.
