    Frank C. Darr Jr., 75, Keysertown Road, Boswell RD, died July 16, 1999, at 
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Oct. 23, 1923, in Lincoln Township, son of Frank C. Sr. 
  and Ellen (Howard) Darr.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Helen 
  Schrock; two infant brothers; brothers: Earl Bisel and Howard and Clark Darr.  
  Survived by these children:  Carol D., married to Richard A. Salley, Hyasota 
  (Hollsopple RD); Barry L., married to Barbara Lynne Wiester, Somerset RD; Peggy 
  D., married to Dwight "Whitey" Gardner, and Shelley W., married to Metta 
  Mostoller, both of Boswell RD; grandchildren:  Ricki, Joel, Bradley, Bobbi, 
  Lyle, Todd, Drew and Amanda; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Hilda Glessner, 
  Somerset; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Darr, Meyersdale.  Member of the Mount 
  Laurel United Church of Christ near Gray, New Centerville Volunteer Fire 
  Department and the U.S.W.A.  Retired from Johnstown Works, U.S. Steel Corp., 
  with 31 years service.  Long-time local baseball umpire and avid woodworker.  
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 
  Main Street, Boswell.  Viewing also from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. 
  Sunday at Mt. Laurel Church, with the Rev. Joseph M. Beer officiating.  
  Interment, Beam Cemetery.  Memorials may be sent to Mt. Laurel U.C.C. Building 
  Fund, Keysertown Road, Boswell 15531.
