  Galen R. "Uncle Pop" Darr, 83, Somerset, went to be with the Lord, Sept. 19,
  2006, at The Patriot. Born April 5, 1923, in Somerset, he is the son of the
  late William and Daisy Pearl (Zerfoss) Darr. Also preceded in death by his
  wife, Goldie (Queer) Darr; grandson, Kenneth L. Wilkinson II, who died Dec. 12,
  2005; an infant grandchild; two infant daughters; and a brother, Wilson Darr.
  Survived by children, Linda L. Menser and husband Frank Jr., Mentor, Ohio;
  Virginia Nair and husband Ellis, Rockwood; and Barry Darr, Mill Run; five
  grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Member of the Somerset Church of
  God, he was a life-long farmer and loved ani- mals and being outdoors. Friends
  received from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the time of service, Friday in the Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home. The Rev. Royden Airesman will officiate. Interment in
  Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to NEDI Home Hospice,
