  GLADYS K. DARR
  
    Gladys K. Darr, 75, of West Church Street, Somerset, died Jan. 1, 1982, at 
  Somerset Community Hospital.
    She was born Aug. 3, 1906, in Stonycreek Township, daughter of the late Alvin 
  and Susan (Meyers) Knepper.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1973.
    She is survived by the following children:  Wayne K. Darr of Berlin, RD 1; 
  Mrs. Donald J. (Lois) Lowry of Mechanicsburg; Fred Jr. of Somerset RD 1; Mrs. 
  Robert (Phyllis) Musser of Stoystown; and Mrs. Daniel (Barbara) Manges of 
  Confluence RD 3; also 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
    She was a sister of Meyers Knepper, Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Clyde Walker, 
  Somerset; Emerson Knepper, Berlin RD 1; and Mrs. Chester Long, Friedens RD 1.
    Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, serving as teacher and president of 
  the CIC class of the Sunday school, member and past president of the women's 
  fellowship of the church, member of the church choir, member of Music and 
  Worship Commission of the church.  She was also deaconess of the church, 
  president of Third Society of Farm Women and member of Somerset Grange.
    Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home.  Funeral services 
  were conducted at Somerset Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Roger Forrey 
  officiating.  Interment, Brotherton Cemetery.
