Darr, 68, died July 14, 1986, at Hine's Veterans Hospital, Maywood, Ill. Born in Somerset County on March 25, 1918, a son of the late William and Daisy Darr. Survived by his wife, Mary H. (Queer) Darr; two sons: Barry W. Darr, Carlsbad, Calif.; James Darr, Country Club Hill, Ill.; one daughter, Carol Olejnicak, Shorewood, Ill.; one brother, Galen Darr, Somerset; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A resident of Joliet, Ill., for 23 years. Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church, member of American Legion Harwood Post #5, Blinded Veterans Association, the Hines Blind Center Alumni and a veteran of World War II. Funeral service Friday at 10 a.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Alvin Abbott officiating. Interment, Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet.
