    Carl E. "Peels" Darrah, 77, of Meyersdale, died May 18, 1996 at his home.  
  Born Feb. 19, 1919 in Meyersdale.  A son of the late William D. and Nora P. 
  (Thomas) Darrah.  Also preceded in death by a sister:  Anna Mary Butler.  
  Survived by his sister:  Frances Coughenour, Meyersdale.  A veteran of the U.S. 
  Air Force.  An avid golfer and former employee of Piney Run Golf course where he 
  worked as caretaker and ranger since the course opened in 1964.  Friends 
  received from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where 
  service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Lamar Bender 
  officiating.  Interment SS. Philip and James Cemetery, Meyersdale.
