D'Arrigo, 74, East Third Street, Gray, died April 3, 1997, at home. Born Nov. 4, 1922, in Mount Hope, W. Va., son of Joseph and Rose (Parisi) D'Arrigo. Preceded in death by parents, and brother, Carmel J. Survived by wife, the former Ellen Infantino; children: David P., married to Joyce Bradish, Latrobe; Diane M., wife of Glenn "Greg" Holder, Chambersburg, and four grandchildren: Nathan and Melanie D'Arrigo and Ryun and Natalie Holder. Brother of Santo "Sam," Boswell RD 2, and John, Cannonsburg. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, Boswell Post 461, American Legion; Somerset Aerie 1801, FOE; Somerset Post 554, VFW; Jenner Rod and Gun Club, and U.S.W.A. Navy veteran of World War II. 1941 graduate of Somerset High School and had nine years of continuing education in civil engineering. Retired miner and also retired from the former U.S. Steel Corp., Johnstown. Observed 47th wedding anniversary Nov. 26, 1996. Friends received from noon until 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Acosta, with the Rev. Father Blase Wegierski O.F.M. Conv. officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery, Somerset. Gradeside [sic] military rite in the charge of Menoher Post 115 VFW Ritual Team. Memorials in care of "In-Touch" Hospice, 651 South Center Avenue, Somerset, would be appreciated.
