  AMEDEO D'ASCENSO
  
    Amedeo D'Ascenzo, 77, of 206 Lincoln Avenue, Meyersdale, died September 21, 
  1983, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland.
    He was born March 16, 1906 in Blairsville, and was a son of the late Joseph 
  D'Ascenzo and Rosaliva D'Ascenzo.
    He was a member of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, an 
  honorary member of Meyersdale American Legion and the Senior Citizens there.
    Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Domenca D'Ascenzo; a daughter, Mrs. Alcea 
  Giatras, city; a brother and two sisters, all in Italy, and three grandchildren, 
  Anthony Giatras, Boston, Mass.; Troy Giatras, Pittsburgh; Gino Giatras, city.
    Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home.
    A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 
  here, Saturday at 9 a.m.  Interment will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Christopher Himmler, Richard Round, Paul Crabtree, George 
  Donges, James Hahn and Edward Burke.
