DAUBENSPECK Mrs. Ethel Daubenspeck, 73, of 208 W. 22nd St., Kannapolis, N.C., died Dec. 17, 1973. A native of Farnam, Va., she was a daughter of the late Richard and Bernice (Nixon) Mason. She had been in declining health for six months and seriously ill for two weeks. She had made her home in Kannapolis since 1964, when her husband, Rev. Wayne M. Daubenspeck, became pastor of St. David's Church there. He is now retired. Mrs. Daubenspeck was a member of that church and of the Golden Age Club of the Lutheran Church Women. She graduated from Meyersdale High School and taught here for several years. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth E. Kistler of Fairfax, Va.; two sons, Richard E. Daubenspeck, a commander in the U. S. Navy in Annandale, Va.; and Henry M. Daubenspeck, of Arlington, Va.; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Louise Keller of Westminster, Colo.; and a brother, Samuel P. Mason of Chapel Hill, N.C. Funeral service was held Dec. 21, at St. David's Church, with Rev. Robert Maxwell and Dr. George Whittecar officiating. Interment in National Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C.
