  DAUGHERTY
  
  Helen Elizabeth Daugherty, 81, of Shanksville, died Nov. 3, 2001, at home.  Born 
  May 28, 1920 in Schellsburg, daughter of David Edward and Mary Catherine 
  (Snively) Daugherty.  Survived by a sister Mary Kathleen Musser of Monroeville; 
  niece Mary Elizabeth Lukunich of Millersburg; nephew John Russell Daugherty of 
  Grantsville, Md.; sister-in-law Helen Kathleen Daugherty, widow of brother Tyrus 
  Raymond Daugherty; two great-nephews; one great-niece; two great-great nieces; 
  and her close friends and former neighbors, the Foy family of Shanksville.  
  Member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shanksville.  Retired teacher 
  from Shanksville Stonycreek School District, a graduate of Indiana University of 
  Pennsylvania, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.  Family will receive 
  friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where 
  services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Robert J. Way officiating.  
  Interment, Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.  Memorial contributions may be given to 
  Shanksville Volunteer Fire Co., Shanksville, Pa. 15560.
