Born March 7, 1910, in Madera, Pa., a son of John and Mary Ann (Lewis) Davidson. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Mardell Knauer, who died May 27, 1983; two sisters, Mariah Weir and Mae Markley; and two brothers, John and Lewis Davidson. Survived by son, Robert E. Davidson, married to the former Alice Gantz, of Rockford, Ill.; two grandchildren, Bradley J. Davidson and Mrs. Andrew (Catherine) Stephenson, both of Rockford, Ill., and three great grandchildren: Scott Davidson, Gavin and Laura Stephenson. Member of First Christian Church, Somerset, and UMWA. Retired from the former Cambria Fuel Co. and D. W. Rhoads Co. Member of the Old Timers Baseball Association and was a player for the former Somerset Baseball team. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.
