    Agnes Davis, 96, Confluence, formerly of Rockwood, passed away Jan. 22, 2001, 
  at Somerset Hospital.  Born Oct. 14, 1904 in Warsaw, Poland, daughter of the 
  late Vladislav and Sophie Lupa.  Preceded in death by parents; husband John 
  Davis in 1956; grandson David Davis; sister Marion Slyfield; and brothers Paul, 
  Walter and Alex Lupa.  Survived by daughter Virginia Hurst of Jamestown, N.Y., 
  and sons John, married to Helen Davis of Chicago, Ill., William Davis and 
  Melvin, married to Dorothy Davis, both of Rockwood; 12 grandchildren and 14 
  great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday 
  at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. 
  Thursday.  Rev. Lowell Beal officiating.
