  DR. DARRELL W. DAVIS
  
    Dr. Darrell W. Davis, 68, Somerset, died Dec. 20, 1983, at Somerset Community 
  Hospital.
    He was born Dec. 28, 1914, a son of the late James G. and Della (Hollada) 
  Davis.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Jean MacIsaac; three sons:  Darrell 
  Wayne Jr., Ohio; James G., Palmer, Alaska; and John M., Berlin; one grandson; 
  one granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Vida Schenk, Mahaffey; and a brother, Edward 
  James, Blairsville.  He was a member of the Meyersdale Elks Club, Middlecreek 
  Golf Club, and former staff member of Somerset Community Hospital.  He obtained 
  his pre-dental education at Juniata College and graduate degree at the 
  University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry in 1942.  He was a member of the 
  state Dental Association.  He opened his Somerset office to practice dentistry 
  in 1946.  He served in WW II as a dental officer for the Third Army, serving in 
  European Theater for four years.  He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, 
  Somerset.
    Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral 
  services were conducted with the Rev. Roger Forry officiating.  Interment, Maple 
  Glen Cemetery, located near Springs.
