  Harold J. Davis, 72, Newburgh, N.Y., formerly of Somerset, died Dec. 25, 1977 in 
  St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh.  He was born April 30, 1905 in Somerset, a son 
  of Margaret (Miller) Davis and the late George W. Davis.  He was preceded in 
  death by his wife, the former Henrietta Fassett.  Survived by his mother; one 
  son, Harold J. Davis II, Painesville, Ohio; one granddaughter; one grandson; and 
  one sister, Helen, wife of George Casset, Somerset.  Member of First Christian 
  Church, Somerset.  Private graveside services, Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Somerset 
  County Memorial Park with the Rev. Paul P. Weber officiating.  Funeral 
  arrangement in charge of Robert H. Halverson Funeral home.  Please omit flowers.
