Davis, 70, a Somerset coal operator and a veteran of the Spanish- American War, died last Friday morning at his home in Somerset. He was a son of Joseph and Savilla (Mosholder) Davis. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hazel (Miller) Davis, and five children: Harry Davis and Mrs. Martha Welch, both of Somerset; James Davis, Camp Livingston, La.; Park Davis, Gulfport, Miss., and Gene Davis, at home. Also surviving are four grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Henry Blough, Mrs. Frank Shaffer, Mrs. George Ray, George, Donald, Curtise and John Davis, all of Somerset, and Mrs. Edna Beal, Chicago.
