DAVIS James Walker Davis, 69, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Confluence, died Monday, August 20, 1990, of lung cancer at St. Paul Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Patsy Wilcox, of Sherman, Texas, in 1980. He is survived by a sister, Mary L. Sorlie, of Dallas, TX; a brother, Clifford Davis, of Dallas, TX; and two nieces: Sandra Snouffer, of Richardson and Pamela Arthur, of Austin, TX and three grand-nephews. He was an honor graduate of the Business School of Washington and Lee University; served in World War II and moved to Dallas and ran his own firm, Davis & Co., for 10 years. He was an investment broker with A. G. Edwards & Sons. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Friday at Wayne Chapel at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. The Republic, August 30, 1990 [D0147]
