She was born Jan. 30, 1920, in Kent, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Lydia (Folk) Darrah. She is survived by sisters Claudia Snyder and Mary Stone, both of Ravenna, Ohio. Her husband, Charles; and brothers, Walter and Chester, died previously. Mrs. Davis was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Brimfield, Ohio, since 1946, and she quilted with the Ladies Aid Society (now the United Methodist Women). She was a charter member of the Kinderguidance Club of Brimfield, and served as president of the PTA for two years. She taught ceramics in her home shop for many years in Brimfield and was a member of the Akron Mud Hens Ceramic Club for 26 years. She was also a den mother for five years for Cub Scout Troop 3259 in Brimfield and cooked for the Chi Omega Sorority of Kent State University. Later, she served as president of the El Rancho Hobby Club in Bradenton, Fla., for two years, and started the hobby group at Silver Oaks in Kent. Surviving members of the family include daughter, Nancy Lee Smith, and son, Chester (and his wife, Leona) Davis, all of Brimfield; and daughter, Charlene Detweiler of Streetsboro, Ohio. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family extended special appreciation to the loving staff of Summit Villa Care Center in Tallmadge, and expressed deepest gratitude to Drs. Jeffrey Bachtel, Fernando Grigera, Michael Pryce and Rose Seliga. In lieu of flowers, contributions were asked to be made to the Faith United Methodist Church of Brimfield, 1235 Tallmadge Road, Kent, OH 44240; to the Diabetes Foundation, or to a favorite charity.
