    LOUIS DAVIS
    
    Louis (Jack) Davis, 87, of Meyersdale, died July 23.  He was born May 9,
  1879, in Frostburg, Md., a son of Ephran and Jane (Coleman) Davis.
    He is survived by his widow, the former Elizabeth Greig, two sons,
  Reginald F. Davis, Johnstown, and Glenn N. Davis, Los Angeles, Calif.; and
  two grandchildren.
    Mr. Davis is also survived by three sisters: Miss Grace Davis and Miss
  Hazel Davis, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Miss Helen Davis, Akron,
  Ohio.
    Service was held July 26 at Konhaus Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with Rev.
  Charles E. Staub officiating.  Interment was in the Union Cemetery.
    Mr. Davis was a well-known amateur baseball player in the area for many
  years.
