    MABEL I. DAVIS
    
    Mabel I. Davis, 85, of Addison RD 1, died Nov. 17, 1997, at Meyersdale
  Manor.  She was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Addison Township, a daughter of the
  late Daniel and Louisa (Becket) Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was
  preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Q. Davis; brothers: Lloyd, Lawrence,
  Frederick and Earnest, and sisters: Effie Gower, Nora McClintock and Minnie
  Rodahaver; also an infant brother and sister, Howard and Tillie.  She is
  survived by two daughters, Brenda Brown and her husband, Carl, of Waunakee,
  Wisc.; Linda Braun and her husband, Gary, of Longview, Texas, and a son,
  Terry of Addison.  Three grandchildren, a sister, Elsie Smith, and a
  brother, Herbert Smith, both of Confluence.  She was a member of St. John's
  Lutheran Church of Addison.  Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral
  Home, Confluence, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (today), and from 10 a.m. to
  1:30 p.m. Thursday, the hour of service, Rev. William Triebe officiating. 
  Interment, St. Paul Cemetery.
