SOPHIA WALKER DAVIS

Funeral of Mrs. J. B. Davis

  URSINA, July 23 - The funeral services for Mrs. Sophia Walker Davis, widow of 
the late Joseph B. Davis, were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 18, at the 
Lutheran Church, Rev. Geo. O. Ritter of Confluence and Rev. I. Hess Wagner, 
D.D., of Somerset, officiating.  The church was crowded far beyond its capacity 
by former neighbors and friends who came to pay their last tribute of love and 
respect to one who during her long and well spent life ever proved a true friend 
to all, whenever they needed help or sympathy.
