    Vanessa Dawson, 26, Berlin, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Sept. 25, 2007,
  while surrounded by her loved ones. Vanessa is survived by her mother, Mary Skibo;
  sister, Dana Dawson and fiancˇ, Pete Gogolesky, Somerset; great-aunts Helen Santucci and
  Ann Skibo, Central City; godfather, Stu Kreinbrook and wife, Marla, Somerset; godmother,
  Linda Mundell, Somerset; and caregivers, Carol Kostick, Kelly Mowry, Susan Ferguson and
  Ashley Brain; and her much loved cat, Special Petey. She is a 1999 graduate of Berlin
  Brothersvalley High School. Vanessa bravely battled Muscular Dystrophy with humor, a
  smile, grace and dignity. She was a giving person to the end, donating her organs for the
  benefit of others. Her love and caring made our lives much fuller. A memorial service will
  be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
  Muscular Dystrophy Association. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home.
