Day, 57, Buffalo Mills RD 1, died in the Cumberland, Md. Memorial Hospital, Nov. 25, 1976. Born Oct. 29, 1919, in Meyersdale, he was a son of John R. Day and Hanna Hutzell Day of Fairhope RD 1. He was a farmer. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Lowry and eight sons: Charles and Henry of Ravenna, Ohio; Jesse, of Hyndman; Clyde, of Garrett; Roland, Rootstown, Ohio; Robert, Freddy and Lester, at home; also four daughters: Mrs. Betty Logsdon, Kent, Ohio; Mrs. Priscilla Keller, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Sarah Herline, Manns Choice, Pa. and Miss Avalene Day at home. He had six brothers: William, Stoystown; John, Pittsburgh; Roland and Kenneth, both of Ravenna, Ohio; Jake and Glenn, both of Fairhope; five sisters: Mrs. Mary Baer, Fairhope; Mrs. Helen Hatcher, Alliance, Ohio; Mrs. Shirley Smith and Mrs. Janet Twigg, Ravenna, Ohio and Mrs. Martha Valarino, New York; also 17 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with Rev. James F. Hodges officiating. Inerment, Mt. Zion Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, December 2, 1976 [D0204]
