Born, Sept.15, 1924, in Wyano, the daughter of the late James A. and Edna A. (Lowery) Reed. Also preceded in death by her husband, Jacob James Day Sr., in May 2008; a brother, James Reed; and a granddaughter, Whitley Dom. Survived by sons, George Shaw and friend, Shirley Kline, Beltsville, Md.; Richard Shaw, Lionsville; Wayne Shaw and wife, Linda, McKeesport; Jacob Day Jr., Foxborough, Mass.; daughters, Eileen Lydick and husband, Blair, Kent, Ohio; Edna Mae Bradnick, Berlin; Barbara Keeseman and husband, Rick, Chambersburg; Virginia Suder and husband, Dan, Berlin; F. Ann Dom and husband, Shawn, New Paris; a brother, Allen Reed, East Pittsburgh; a sister, Virginia Hunkele, Gibsonia; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grand- children and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Day served as the Fairhope Tax Collector for many years. A member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God since 1957. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts. She had belonged to many homemakers clubs in the area. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Hyndman. Pastor Gregory Sinclair officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Allegheny Township. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Hyndman, PA 15545.
