  DAY, WILLIAM

  William F. Day, 77, Meyersdale RD 4, died March 8, 1995, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born March 5, 1918, in Meyersdale, son of John R. Sr. and Hannah
  L. (Hutzell) Day.  Preceded in death by parents, sister; Hannah and Dorothy,
  brothers: Charles, Benjamin, Thomas, Robert, Roland, Kenneth and Merle.
  Survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Blanche E. Wright, and these
  children: William F. Jr., married to the former Anastasia Valarinos, Berlin
  RD 1; Delores, married to Robert L. Hoyman, Garrett RD 1; Leonard, married
  to the former Rosemary Valarinos, Meyersdale RD 4; 12 grandchildren, 17
  great-grandchildren; also survived by brothers: John R. Jr., Jacob J. and
  Glenn M.; sisters: Mary J. Baer, Helen E. Natcher, Marthat L. Valarinos,
  Janet E. Twigg and Shirley L. Smith.  Retired coal miner.  Member of New
  Apostolic Church, Somerset.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 2
  p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Mark Komula officiating.  Ineterment Hay's church
  Cemetery.
