Dayoob, 76, Somerset, died Oct. 27, 1994, in Somerset Hospital. Born June 17, 1918 in Everson, Fayette County, son of the late Alexander George and Alice (Nassar) Dayoob. Preceded in death by his first wife Theresa Marazza. Also preceded by two brothers, John and Abraham Dayoob and two sisters, Genevieve Salamone and Rose Begonia. Survived by his second wife, Sarah Elizabeth DeBaise; a son George A. Dayoob Jr., married to the former Patricia Marley of Richland; stepson, Ron Jubick, married to the former Lorraine Latuch, Somerset; grandson, Jamie Dayoob; three step grandchildren; three brothers, James A. Dayoob, Scottdale, Richard A. Dayoob, Chandler, Ariz. and Edward A. Dayoob, Portland, Ore; and four sisters, Mrs. Adele Adams, Mrs. Betty Adkins, Mrs. Marie Hyde, all of Johnstown and Mrs. James (Helen) Eicher, West Hills, Calif. Served as executive director of Windber Hospital and Wheeling Clinic from 1958 to 1976. Business manager/superintendent at Somerset State Hospital 1941-1958. Graduated from East Huntington Township High School in 1935 and attended Earlham College, Richmond, Ind. Member St. Mary's Antiochian Church, Westmont, life member, American College of Hospital Administrators, president of Windber County Club for seven terms, member Conemaugh Lodge No. 692, F&AM, member, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Member B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge No. 777, Scottdale. Friends received from 7-9 p.m., Saturday and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday and Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m., Sunday. Trisagion prayers folled by funeral service at noon, Monday, at Hauger-Ziegler Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Donald Shabid officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
