      Clyde Edison Deal, 94 of Salisbury, died Monday, July 9, 2007 at
  Somerset Hospital, Somerset.
      He was born March 27, 1913 in Elk Lick Twp., the son of the late
  Lester and Mariam "Nellie" (Reiber) Deal. He was  
  also preceded in death by two sons: James L. Deal and Daniel David Deal;
  three brothers: LeRoy, Earl and Glenn Deal and 
  one sister, Edna Schrock.
      He is survived by his  wife of 68 years, Mary Eliza (Livengood)
  Deal; two daughters: Mary Susan (Deal) Cover, 
  Meyersdale; Barbara Frances Deal, Salisbury; one sister, Pauline D.
  Shumaker, Salisbury; three grandchildren: Susan 
  (Cover) Kimble and husband, Jim; Bronwyn Anne Jones and Ian Daniel Deal
  Jones.
      Mr. Deal was an insurance agent. He was a member of St. John's
  United Church of Christ, Salisbury, Elder Emeritus, 
  former Sunday school teacher, choir member and consistory member. Mr. Deal
  graduated from Catherman's Business 
  School. 
      He was a lifetime member of the Salisbury American Legion, and
  member of the Salisbury V.F.W. and the Lions 
  club.  He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers and he also liked
  to travel.
      Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168
  Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury, on Thursday from 2 to 
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted on Friday, July 13, 2007 in the
  St. John's United Church of Christ at 1 p.m. 
  with the Rev. J. Matthew Deal officiating. Friends will be received at the
  church one hour prior to the services. Interment 
  will be in the Salisbury Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by the
  Salisbury American Legion.
      Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Somerset In Touch
  Hospice. Condolences may be sent to the family at
