  DEAL

  Elmer Leroy Deal, 88, of 193 Greenville Road, Salisbury, died Tuesday June
  4, 2002 at Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born June 17, 1914 in Sand Patch, he
  was a son of the late George and Lula (Albright) Deal.  Mr. Deal is survived
  by his wife, Doris (Lowry) Deal: one son James Joseph Deal, Philadelphia,
  Tenn. And four grandsons.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church
  and Salisbury Lions Club.  He helped organize and served as the first
  president of the Salisbury Area Ambulance Association.  He was a retired
  farmer and worked for the Garfield Thomas Funeral Home for 17 years.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Newman
  Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy. Salisbury, where services will be
  conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
  Interment Salisbury Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed to
  Salisbury Area Ambulance Association.
