Mr. Deal had not been in good health for several years because of an accident, and on Sunday he suffered a heart attack. He was born near where he died on October 14, 1881, son of Jeremiah and Matilda (Tedrow) Deal. He was 64 years, 9 months and 9 days old at his death. He lived all his life in the same vicinity, and was a lifelong member of the Greenville Lutheran Church. On June 3, 1906, he married Lula Albright in the Evangelical Church in Salisbury. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grace Shipley and Mrs. Alma Damratoski, both of Pittsburgh; two sons, Clarence and Elmer, both of Greenville Township; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Baer and Mrs. Eliza Wright, both of Salisbury; three brothers, John M. and William M. Deal of Route 1, Salisbury, and Jacob Deal of McKees Rocks, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the family home on Friday, July 26, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. W. D. Reese of Frostburg, and Rev. George E. Bowersox, Jr., pastor of the Greenville Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment in the Greenville Union Cemetery with Mortician Stanley M. Thomas in charge.
